don't know how to share these pictures but here's my attempts at slack rope. I look good. it's easy to get still pictures, ha ha! video is harder... The rural setting for me hints at the nomadic life of an itinerant performer. I'd almost expect to see a horse to the side rather than a bike - a decorated circus bike. The big top in the background helps locate it as travelling tho a bow-top would be even more appropriate if i was trying to set up a fake. which i'm not. the bike places further into the future, the style of the bike more so. the clothes... in the tights i think i look quite circus. the dress is much more 'shabby gentry', tho it's plastic so 1950's kinda style. the army jacket, i think, became common on the streets as people left the wars but weren't looked after and found themselves on the street with nothing but their best clothes which they hung onto as long as they could. it's become almost a uniform for street performers. Identifying them as artists rather than beggars.
